D and Ks Community Art Studio

I am an artist, educator (former Art Teacher at Decatur Middle 2021-2025), and the Executive Director of D & K’s Community Art Studio which is nonprofit. I am passionate about using art as a tool for creativity, empowerment, and community connection. Since beginning my career in education, I have worked to provide accessible art opportunities for individuals of all ages and underserved communities.

D & K’s has become a vibrant space offering youth programs, paint parties, face painting, and community events that inspire creativity and confidence. I am dedicated to helping others express themselves through art while building a strong, supportive community.

My mission is to create a lasting impact by making art accessible and meaningful for everyone.
